CERMA Holds Successful Kick-Off Meeting In Košice

Partners from six European countries met on the 16th of July at the Technical University of Košice to mark the formal start of collaborative work on improving resilience to floods, droughts and water scarcity through research and education.

The kickoff brought together project teams from the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), University Babes-Bolyai of Cluj Napioca (Romania), University “Mikolaja Kopernika” of Torun (Poland), University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Nis (Serbia) and the SME Sustainable Innovation Technology Services (Ireland).

Partners confirmed the project work plan, timelines and responsibilities, with an early focus on data harmonization and pilot case studies to demonstrate integrated hydrological modelling in different European contexts. The consortium agreed to a staged dissemination strategy that will target educators, regional authorities and practitioners to ensure rapid uptake of CERMA outputs.
