CERMA has successfully completed Work Package 2, the project phase dedicated to identifying environmental risks and carrying out the needs analysis that will support the next stages of implementation. WP2 focused on defining the main hydrological and climate-related risks relevant to the project, especially floods, droughts and heatwaves, while also capturing the needs of the institutions and stakeholders that CERMA aims to support through research, education and capacity building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The WP2 deliverables bring together risk identification, stakeholder input and technical preparation into a consolidated framework for action. Among the key outcomes are a shared understanding of the most pressing environmental pressures across partner contexts, a structured analysis of training and capacity needs, and criteria to guide the selection of case studies and pilot sites. These outputs also informed the timing and content of the Lisbon project meeting and workshop, where partners confirmed the WP2 delivery schedule and aligned on the transition toward the next project phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WP2 was built through a sequence of project activities that have progressively strengthened CERMA\u2019s methodological and operational basis, including the kick-off meeting in Ko\u0161ice in July 2025 and the Lisbon project meeting in December 2025, where partners reviewed progress, discussed risk priorities and finalised the WP2 timetable. CERMA is now set to deepen its technical work during the theme-based training in Cluj-Napoca at the end of April 2026.
